Morphe Cosmetics has become one of my favorite brands, the line with their brushes is affordable and so far, I’m loving their products.
I bought my second palette from Jaclyn Hill ‘s collaboration with Morphe. I’m almost done with the collection and I can’t be more excited.
Before I get into the products details, let me give my honest review or first impression on this palette. I fell in love with the dark colors of the palette, you create numerous eye looks, including a non traditional Smokey eye, which I created. The colors are pigmented, but the color I was most attracted to was quite patchy, I’m thinking it could be the base I chose, but I made it work and felt the look was executed. The fallout was minimal, I personally did not experience a lot of fallout, which is a plus. The swatches I done did not require any primer, which is also a plus. If you love dark colors or deep greens then this palette is perfect for you and the price point ($15) is not bad either.
Now to details:
Eyebrows: LA Girls Cosmetics brown gel liner cleaned with Maybelline cream concealer palette “Medium/ Deep”
Face: I don’t remember the primer I used ( sorry)
LA Colors matte foundation ( review is coming soon)
Highlight/contour: Maybelline cream concealer palette (used to clean my eyebrows) and the Fit Me concealers for contour “Toffee”. I set my highlight and contour with Black Radiance Cosmetics “Banana” powder and Elf Cosmetics “Turks and Caicos” bronze duo. I used Airspun translucent powder to set my face where I did not highlight or contour.
Blush: EBay blush palette. I used a soft nude brown as to not overpower the entire look.
Highlight: Wet n Wild Cosmetics limited edition ( Halloween edition) “Moonlit Gleam”
Everything was set with Elf setting spray
Lips: I used a beauty supply store brand liquid lipstick
