Viva Glam Sia

Mac has found a new Viva Glam spokesperson and it’s none other than singer Sia!! I am ready for this lipstick debuting in January 2018 just in time for my birthday!! Now I have to get another Viva Glam Taraji Lipstick and two lip glosses.

If you are not familiar with Mac’s Viva Glam lipstick and glosses, they are apart of the Mac Aids program that helps men, women, and children with aids or hiv get funding for meds, clothing, or shelter. The proceeds from the sales of the Viva Glam Lipsticks and glosses goes straight to the charity! How cool is that?

Each lipstick or gloss is only available for a year and sometimes they will collab twice with the same spokesperson!

Whose buying the Viva Glam Sia? It’s going to be a bright , classic red! Perfect for date night and just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Spellbounding with Ipsy

I received my Ipsy bag very late, someone stole my first bag and I found out when I logged into the Ipsy app and seen my package was supposedly delivered October 13th!! Now I can’t say for sure but this was the second package that went m.i.a on me, so I will be investing in a P.O. box enough is enough! Long story short I wrote ispy and all is well!

October’s Ipsy theme was “ Spellbound”, due to the incident I wasn’t able to get the lace bag that came with it I’m just grateful that I received a bag.

The items I received were;

It Cosmetics “ Bye Bye Pores” invisible powder mink sample

Tony and Moly mini Hand Cream

Essence Cosmetics blush

Furless Small crease brush

Jm Solution foaming facial wash ( I tried tonight, so far so good details will be on my updated facial care routine soon)

A pink fur bag and of course the theme card

If you are interested in Ipsy and would like to subscribe please refer to my previous posts thanks.

I rate the bag an A+ I love the great customer service, and all the products were worth it and will be put to great use.

Influenster: Darling Vox Box

Hi guys!! About a month or so ago Influenster sent me the darling vox box to review products for free in exchange for my honest opinion. If you are not familiar with Influenster please go and read past posts so you can get familiar and review products for free as well how cool is that??

In this box box I received:

A full size bottle of Nature Bounty gummy vitamins for energy, which I loved because it gave me the right amount of energy without having me feel sluggish or jittery.

A deluxe sample of Vichy facial serum which made my skin feel so good. I’m an oily combination girl and this left my skin feeling good.

A deluxe sample of Eva NYC hair mask which left my natural hair soft

Two full size samples of Live Clean baby wash and lotion. My skin tends to act up from time to time so this is perfect. They smell so good and I have a baby that I know will love this!

A full sample of Duncan Hines perfect one brownie mix to put in a cup and try to stop that sweet tooth without overindulging. I

Loved it and is familiar already with the product. I definitely recommend this you will get four packets for under $5. Unfortunately for me this will have to be a cheat down the line for me.

I also received a coupon for country crock butter with a recipe that came on time for me. I also received a coupon for my perfect size snack as well as a card telling me about the products I received.

If this isn’t enough to sign up for Influenster I don’t know what else to tell you. Sign up today!!

Smokey Eye with a Hint of Orange

Hi beauties I haven’t posted in a few weeks, but as I said before follow me on my social media pages to keep up with me .

Tonight my model,my youngest daughter let me create this look inspired by prom season. I decided to add a pop of color to the traditional smokey eye. Here’s a list of product breakdowns:

I prepped her skin with my witch hazel and thyme leaves mixture, then primed the skin with Mary Kay skin primer

Brows: Ruby Kisses Cosmetics brow pencil (dark brown) and then to clean them up I also used the Ruby Kisses highlight and contour kit for medium to deep skin skin. I set them with the Ulta brow kit

Eyes: I primed with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and I used a medium brown shadow from the Ruby Kisses Cosmetics Contour kit and the oranges came from the Urban Decay Electric palette and from my eBay neon shadows palette and my Mayo Cosmetics neon pigment. The black came from an eBay neutral palette. I used NYX Cosmetics Black Bean as a base

Contour: Ruby Kisses Cosmetics cream contour kit and was set the Ruby Kisses powder contour kit

Foundation: Maybelline Fit me foundation in “Coconut” I used a brown from the ruby kisses palette to set the foundation

Highlight: the gold cream from the ruby kisses palette and Mac Cosmetics “Soft and Gentle”

Lashes: La colors lashes in the style “Danity”

Mascara: Wet n Wild mascara

Blush: Black Radiance Cosmetics “Raspberry ”

Lips: Wet n Wild brown liner and an La Color lipgloss

I set with the Elf Cosmetics setting spray

French Quarter Fest 2017

Hello beauties I just wanted to share my fotd which is a simple natural everyday Face for me unless I am feeling glam lol. Sunday, we attended the French Quarter festival in New Orleans for the first time. This year I refuse to remain in the house letting life pass me by.

For my Foundation I chose Fashion Fair Cosmetics Foundation stick in “Honey”.  This stick provides medium buildable coverage. First of course I prepped my skin. I used my witch hazel and thyme leaves toner then moisturized with Mary Kay Time Wise moisturizer for oily/combination skin. I then primed using the Hard Candy primer for oily skin and Maybelline blur primer in my tzone. I set my tzone with Elf Cosmetics translucent power in invisible. For my eyes I used Too Faced Cosmetics primer and La colors concealer palette in medium, I took the lightest color and based my eyes and set that with the Elf Cosmetics translucent powder to prevent creasing. I then used Elf Cosmetics press powder in “Toffee” in my crease as a transition color after I based my entire eyelids with an Elf press powder. I then used my Too Faced “Sweet Peach” palette to add the pops of color in my crease as well as under my eyelid and in my eye corner. For my brow bone highlight I used my Elf press powder. I contoured with my la color contour duo and highlighted with the same la color concealer palette and set my highlight with my ruby kisses banana powder. I also highlighted with my Wet n Wild limited edition highlighter (which is a dupe for a Mac limited edition highlighter that I will discuss in my next post real soon). I also used my Becca Cosmetics moonstone on the tip and bridge of my nose as well as forehead. I cream contoured as well with a rue 21 contour kit and set it with the la color contour duo. My lips I outlined with a wet n Wild brow pencil in black/brown blended it out and wore wet n Wild nudist Peach. I set with my Elf primer must and Mac finishing spray. My blush was by black radiance and I did my brows with a Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow in chocolate. I also color corrected with la girl color correction in orange. My lashes was by Salon Perfect #614 and I primed my lashes with wet n Wild lash primer and mascara was also by Wet n Wild. That’s it until the next post byyyyyeeee!!💋

My Opinion of the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

Hello dolls I am sharing my everyday makeup look and giving my final thoughts on the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation.

Wet n Wild announced at the end of 2016, that they were adding more “Photo friendly” products to their line. If you follow them their instagram page then you might have saw the products on their Insta story. Wet n Wild added new foundations, press powders, liquid lipsticks, and newly cushion blushes, lipsticks, and highlighters, as well as new lip balms gel eyeliners, mascara and few other items.

The number one complaint among the Women of Color beauty community was that Wet n Wild was not releasing the newly released foundations or press powder to the chain stores such as Wal Mart, Target, etc. I was lucky enough to find my Shade at Walgreens (( since the release you can find the entire collection at just about all the chain stores I think that had to do with the area and the shipping times)

My Foundation color is “Desert Rose” and it matches really good. I have a very yellow undertone so this Foundation caters to it. It is medium to full coverage, I applied 2 coats using a Foundation brush and buffing it in with a beauty blender. I applied the Foundation at 6:00 am and removed it at 8:00 pm. If you are oily have your blot towels on hand, lol. I am oily but the Foundation held up. In my opinion, this Foundation Is very good and as you can see from the photos it is photo friendly. If you are like myself and is a Makeup Artist this is perfect for photos.
