Bold and Bright Summer

Last night I done a video tutorial on this bright and bold, very colorful, and fun makeup look using the Pinky Rose Cosmetics palette named “Bright Lights”. The palette is very pigmented and great for those like myself that love color! I gave an in-depth review on the palette. Please head to my Instagram page and/or YouTube page to check that out. I’m aiming at 250 subbies on youtube, so if you happen to watch the video and you like what you see do me a favor, please? Would you be soo kind to hit the like button and subscribe? It’s free, thank you.

The products I used are as per usual, except for my foundation. I used two. I skipped my usual color correction and aimed at an oldie but goodie, my Mac cosmetics studio fix foundation in NW44, because I wanted full coverage in my trouble areas and I used my foundation I bought from Sally’s beauty supply’s the foundation gave an ok coverage, but the smell smelled like vinegar. I did not get a reaction so that’s good. I also used my Sephora highlighter in “Golden Hour” with the L’Oréal lumi lotion underneath to give a blinding glow. My lips I used all Mac lipsticks and gloss except to outline,I outlined in a wet n wild lipstick pencil. My blush was by black radiance.

I had fun creating this look and I hope you all enjoy the video.

Mac Makes Me Go Chic with Patrick Starr

Last night’s makeup tutorial and review was on the Mac x Patrick Starr’s spring collaboration. There were two different collections released that day. What is so cool about the collection is that you got everything you needed to create numerous looks in a box for one price! How cool is that? You got an eyeshadow quad, blush duo, lipstick, and a lipgloss that could be wore alone. You got all that for $49.50 each plus tax.

The box I chose to do a look on was “Make Me Chic”. This collection was a range of purple with a mauvey brown lipstick called “Ma Ma Starrr’s Kiss” and a soft light pearl lipgloss with gold and pink reflects.

I created a fuchsia purple Smokey eye, I wanted the look to look as spring and as summer as possible.

If you want to see the product details to my look, please head over to my Instagram page. The YouTube video will be up later this week.

This is my opinion about this collection. I found it a great idea about creating a box set, I feel other brands should take notes and jump on the bandwagon. The shadows were pigmented and i received no fall out. The colors were very easy to blend. I rate the collection an A+.

Bananas and Grapes

I decided to create this beautiful yellow with purple makeup look using The Crayon Case “Box of Crayons ” palette, I head previously used it on myself and I’m medium to dark skin toned so I wanted to use it on a medium dark to deep skin tone while bronzing up her skin to create a summer glow. The foundation I chose is my absolute favorite for deep skin tones and is very affordable, I chose Maybelline fit me Dewey finish foundation in “coconut”, I primed her face with the Elf mineral primer ( I hate, it dries quickly and clumps) and added a few drops of oil to her skin to give that extra “dewiness” , she’s on the dry side and it helped out a lot and to highlight and contour I chose to work with foundations as this gives a more natural look. The highlight was only $6 and by elf. It doesn’t take a lot of expensive products to create a beautiful look, it’s all in the techniques. I got that beautiful bronzed glow from Covergirl Queen using their bronzer in “Ebony Bronze”. I’m currently searching for a similar bronzer as this one was discontinued, if you know a good bronzer please comment, thank you.

All in all I loved the look and will post the video soon .

Unicorn Dust🦄

Hey Beauties I’m back with another post. I wanted to share with you this beautiful soft look I created using this beautiful iridescent pink eyeshadow with blue reflects from Sephora called “unicorn dust” and I wanted to try out the sample I got of Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation.

The products I used are the same except for the foundation which I previously mentioned. I am loving the Double Wear foundation and is planning to buy it, it held up in the Louisiana to Mississippi heat, lol.

On my lips I am wearing a lipgloss from the Mac x Patrick Starr spring collection and I’m also wearing the blush as well ( my full review on this collection will be up soon).

I love the eyeshadow, but it could’ve been a bit more pigmented, I found a base that is geared toward high shimmer and reflect shadows so I will try that and give my opinion, I’m upset my camera didn’t capture how pretty shadow actually is.

Pride 🏳️‍🌈 2018

June is Pride month for my gay friends and what better way to support them by using my “Box of Crayons ” palette from The Crayon Case.

Rainbows signifies gay pride in the gay community, so I decided to keep the tradition going by doing the signature rainbow look.

Here’s the details on this look:

Mist my face with Mario Badescu rose water spray ( I no longer moisturize I just use my primer)

Brows: La Colors brow pomade “dark brown”

Cleaned up with Makeup Revolution concealer “C9”

Eyes:

Too Faced primer potion “original”

Makeup Revolution concealer “c9” and La Colors concealer “light” ( I did not set, so the colors can be vibrant )

Wet n Wild “Rose’ in the Air” palette ( I used the the light transition color as a transition in my crease”

The Crayon Case “Box of Crayons” palette. I used Orange (shimmer) in my crease, Red (matte) below the crease blended into my crease and added to my outer v. I then cut my crease using the Kat Von D white concealer and letting it get tacky, I added white (shimmer) to my inner corner lid as well as yellow (matte), and again the red color. On my bottom lid, I added purple, green (mattes), and blue (shimmer).

The top lid I used Wet n Wild black gel liner and a Hobby lobby black reflect glitter and on my bottom eye I used a black liner and added some very full lashes I will have more information on later.

Face:

Covergirl matte primer

La Colors matte foundation

I first used my bombshell cosmetic translucent powder to set my t zone and color corrected using La Colors orange concealer. I contoured with foundation for a more natural look using L’Oréal tru match foundations and I used la Colors fair concealer to my highlight to add a touch of brightness. I set using my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit (powder) and I highlighted with Fenty Beauty “Killawatt” highlight over Maybelline strobe liquid highlight.

Lips:

A off brand champagne pink color lipstick lined with an off brand brown lip liner and Fenty Beauty “Gloss Bomb” lipgloss.

That’s it, I enjoyed this makeup look and it received a lot of engagements.

The Crayon Case Fest

Hey Beauties!!! It’s no stranger, it is me, lol, I know I’ve been m.i.a. And with good reason, I’ve been working a lot more, dreams has to be funded and reality is real, lol, but while I was away, I’ve been getting new makeup and skincare goodies and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Starting now,

On June 2nd, I had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans to attend The Crayon Case one year anniversary pop up shop. I live an hour and half away from New Orleans, so it’s not like I traveled far, lol.

If you’re not familiar with the brand The Crayon Case, here’s a little information for you. The Crayon Case is a woman owned, black owned makeup cosmetics brand, that was started by New Orleans native and Instagram celebrity, Supa Cent. Her brand is dedicated to amateur and pro makeup artists and makeup lovers. The cosmetic brand centers around a school theme as per makeup is an always continuing learning art.

I was excited to attend, because I wanted her always sold out palette “Box of Crayons” , which is a colorful palette, named after crayons, you would find in a crayon box, I already owned her ibrow pomade and concealer palette in number two.

The event was held at a pop up location in downtown New Orleans and the event was packed like a concert, she had vendors or small business owners there as well as food and drinks, but the line was wrapped around waiting to get our hands on her items!

After a few hours, it started raining and the line was extremely long so I left with my family to go browse in stores and let the crowd or line die down and one hour later I had my hand on the famous palette!

The trip was definitely worth it, though I did not meet the CEO Supa herself, I was just happy to be out to a makeup event and get my hands on “The Box of Crayons” palette.

Aaliyah x Mac

I’m so excited for this collection!!! It is long overdue. About a year or two ago a petition was started asking Mac to add the late singer Aaliyah to their list of collaborations as per as they done for the late singer Selena and as you can see it was a success!!!!

I’m guessing the lipstick that Mac has released a sneak peek of on their Instagram page will be called “Baby Girl” as that was Aaliyah’s nickname, all in all, I am excited for this collection.
